Henley Regatta – Charter your Thames Boat

Going to Ascot for a flutter and Wimbledon for the tennis this summer? Another must for your events calendar is one of the most British, the Henley Royal Regatta. Rowing is one of the sports we Brits still dominate the World and where better to watch some of our finest rowers, but at the most well known and visited regatta in the UK at Henley on Thames.

A short train ride out of London Henley is an old English village/town which like London grew around the River Thames. Every year the marquees go up and the marshals set out the course and the whole of the town and surrounding countryside is turned into a most English of venues. Run over 5 days spectators can enjoy some intense action on the course relaxing between races in the hospitality venues along the shores. With fresh fish, fine foods, Pimms and champagne spectating has never been so much fun!

Many of the hospitality organisers provide luxury River Thames boats to allow their guests to get up close to the action. The other advantage of a River Thames boat is that racing can be viewed on the move from different parts of the course. There are also the obvious amenities onboard including a bar, food and toilets. As well as the uninterrupted view of the rowing waiters serving strawberries and champagne add a whole other level to the experience.

The packages are surprisingly affordable too costing no more than a New Years Eve Thames Cruise and with the added advantage of warm summer weather and the races to keep everyone focused on not consuming too much food and drink!

A real must for your annual events calendar and a great excuse to get friends and family together or wine and dine those important business clients.

Where can I jetski and waterski with a boat near west London, uk?

I am looking for a place to go waterskiing and powerboating, and maybe jetskiing. How much is typical launch fees for a small boat, and typical storage charges. Do you have to be RYA certified? Is there a body that regulates lakes where you can use a motorboat? Are there any places that a jetski can be hired from?
