Dying industry and government regulations?
What are the examples, and if possible links to industries that are dying regulation government? For example, the fishing industry is dying in Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom because of government quotas. This caused a great number of ships to be dismantled.
If there was no fishing regulations would be no fish to catch for the industry going to die anyway. Government is more likely to keep alive dying industries to save jobs or to prevent new entrants to kill the former industries and places of political influence.
