How long does it take by boat from Seattle in the Pacific and the time from Gig Harbor to Seattle. Thank you!?

I write a novel and a character lives in Gig Harbor and owns a yacht.

Gig Harbor to Seattle (via Colva happened, the obvious choice because it is the shortest distance and the current is always running from south to north) 22 nautical miles. I use Bell Street Pier "Seattle" as it is on the waterfront of downtown, and a lot of large yachts use the results of home there. Assuming a cruising speed of 20 knots for a typical motor yacht, which is a little over an hour. A yacht sailing (not specified) at a speed of six knots of hull could do in four hours if the winds were favorable. From Seattle to Cape Flattery / Tatoosh Island is 122 nautical miles, the most direct (and comfortable, and less colorful) through Entry for Puget Sound and Admiralty. The motor yacht above could do in six hours, but the combination of waves and winds in western Strait of Juan de Fuca is likely to slow down, even a large motor yacht down considerably from Wilson Point and Cape Flattery. A sailboat will fare worse, he almost certainly want to surf Port Townsend, spend the night, then motor in Neah Bay, Port Townsend, the next day and then fixed for the open ocean the third day Neah. This implies that the good weather in summer. In winter, you can expect 12 'seas in the east of the Strait, and 30'swells At the west entrance and at sea, far worse, even the strongest of yachts, power or sail, it will probably do it. Even in summer, sea, 6 'are common in the east of the Strait, and 10 in the west entrance is not uncommon. Once the acute left about Tatoosh Island, assuming that the coastal road to reach the trade winds (around San Diego, and appropriate power, but who need to navigate, you can not get a sailboat "great circle" around the North Pacific High), you should assume that you are making an ocean passage making, even if you can see the earth. The bars along River in Washington and Oregon coast are the best traitors, impractical at worst. Crescent City is sometimes a possibility, but I would never safe harbor to San Francisco.
