Sails By The Bay
Sails By The Bay

Halong Bay, Vietnam
Our trip was to leave at 7:30 then stored our luggage at the reception and sat with other Travelers heading to Halong Bay. A minivan pulled just after 8am and we had to sit separately because they are the last two on the bus. It takes 3 hours to Halong city and have made a pit stop after one hour at a service station selling hot dogs, so I took one for the breakfast.
Premium Bay Valentine Halong, Vietnam
At two o'clock in the bus, everyone mostly spent in a young Japanese boy who had a large video camera. Filmed almost everything around and give the rest of the film takes us on the bus, from the gas station, the pilot, opinions, etc. …
We stopped to Halong wharf At around noon and there were literally hundreds of tourists and dozens of boats. Bring us to our boat that looked pretty good and 15 of us have on board
Then we sat down for lunch. We ate with a couple of Stuggart and a Canadian couple. The food was very good. We got tofu, rice, chicken, fish, vegetables, meat rolls Spring chips and pineapple.
After lunch, it was reported he was in the next two days, then were taken to the first island, cave system. The caves were great, they returned a hill inside. We have the chance to hit with Canadians and missed the first half as it turns taking pictures and talking, but when we joined, we realized that we did not miss much really. It was rather a visit entertainment events. How I wish tell a story of Romeo and Juliet sailing along a river in Italy and that someone had seen them kiss and take a picture. Then they shine a laser pen a rock in the ceiling of the cave and it looked like two people kissing. The caves were quite surprising and well we managed to get a good picture before leaving a few.
Our ship had three decks. The sleeping quarters were on the lower deck. The restaurant and bar on the second and was the cover to relax and enjoy the view. We went on the roof with all and for another 1 hour and not a person who speaks. I do not think he even spoke to Jo
.
We made our way to Bay and the views are spectacular. Water was calm and flat, which had managed to lose all the other vessels at all and just sailed through these huge rocks, jagged overlooking the water form of icebergs.
Halong Bay is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and it is easy to see why. The most beautiful place I've been is Xel-ha, Mexico and do not think I ever anywhere that approach, but the Halong Bay is a very, very close second.
It has 1,960 islands, of which half are unnamed. Normally, the weather, a bit foggy and cold, but our guide told us they had the chance, and if a Fresh very good visibility. We managed to see wild animals of the famous Halong Bay and became very close to some of the hawks who surround islands. Jo also told me what she thought was a great achievement in the water, but it was a huge jellyfish.
We docked at the island of Cat Ba afternoon and was taken to a German couple who took the 3 days and 2 night trip. They stay in a hotel and then on the boat the next night
We spent 45 minutes in the cards with our guide Mr. Banana, I'm sure he cheated, Jo and me still lost twice to learn the game.
We stopped at a floating raft that was somehow part of the operation fish, kayak rentals party. He kayaks wern't enough that we had a discussion with Rachelle and Kevin (Canada) and then lined up, but I must speak to a couple of Tasmania, who were very nice. Two kayaks are becoming available, he jumped on and went into a cave about 200yards away. We dodged a few small boat and arrived at the cave false. Unfortunately we have no pictures of us kayaking, as you all know what we like with cameras and water.
After kayaking, we went back on the boat and stayed in the rooms. Our room was very nice, quick and compact. We had a double and a bathroom fan, but what makes the room was the view of the surroundings. We had 3 large windows and we had the best views of big rock that had docked cons and we were spending the night here. What a great place to wake up!
Dinner Now We started calling the tea creates many problems and confuses the Southerners, Americans, Australians, etc. .. was served in 6.30 hours. Yet once, it was very good. We sat down with Lucy a daughter in London and a member of China (I will not try to write his name as quite difficult to say).
After dinner, we played some some tricks of the card before learning a game of cards have been better that some Chinese that our usual rummy blackjack. It took a few will get it, but we a good night's game and share stories of travel.
Everyone was very tired 11ish we headed to our cabin and fell asleep.
Jo blog tomorrow, but this trip was a highlight Asia. After spending time in the beautiful Halong Bay in our old school pirate ship and a cabin to sleep has really excited about our trip Alaska. We have spent the trip with great people that we will try to stay in contact with.

I love sailing in the bay, taking in all its splendor subtle. There are no sandy beaches of the bay and the estuary is so brand new geological terms. The bay has been created by warming. How climate change is due to man, and how much is simply an extension of the period of warming that we have Today saw tens of thousands of years? Anyone know of a book based on solid science on the subject?
* Sigh * Natural global warming and natural cooling of the planet were thousands of years. Cash had time to adapt. What is happening today is happening overnight, "a relative manner of speaking. What the layman does not understand is that one or increase of two degrees of average temperature less than one hundred years is severe. END. With heavy consequences by: ocean temperatures, melting ice sheets and the accompanying influx of freshwater into marine ecosystems in general salt, etc. etc. etc. ad infinitum. not task. NO is questionable. Is what is happening. And this is not "natural."
